Privacy Policy — Fondo

Fondo is a money tracker that runs entirely on your iPhone. This policy describes what happens to the information you put into it. It is short because the app does very little with your data.

What Fondo collects

Nothing is collected. There is no account to create, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting and no third-party code. The developer cannot see your cards, your balances, your transactions or how you use the app.

What you enter, and where it lives

Everything you record — cards, balances, transactions, categories, payment methods, exchange rates, budgets, repeating payments, notes and countries — is stored by the app on your own device, in its private storage area. Other apps cannot read it. Deleting the app deletes this data.

Fondo never asks for a full card number and has nowhere to send one. The optional "last four digits" field exists only so you can tell two of your own cards apart, and it is stored like any other text you type.

Reminders

If you switch on a reminder, the notification is scheduled on your iPhone itself. There is no server that could send you anything, and nothing about your reminders leaves the device.

Face ID lock

If you switch on the lock, iOS checks your Face ID, Touch ID or passcode and tells Fondo only whether it succeeded. Fondo never receives or stores any biometric data.

Backups and exports

Settings → Save a backup writes a file, and the export options write CSV files. Where those files go is entirely your choice — the iOS share sheet hands them to whatever you pick, such as Files, iCloud Drive, Mail or AirDrop. Once a file leaves the app it is governed by whatever service you sent it to, not by this policy. Nothing is uploaded automatically.

What Fondo does not do

• No tracking, and no identifiers used for tracking.
• No data shared with or sold to anyone.
• No network requests of its own. Exchange rates are typed by you, not fetched, so the app works offline and stays quiet.

Children

Fondo is suitable for all ages and collects nothing, from anyone.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be published at the same address as this one, with the date at the top updated.
